Where Are They Now: Kerry/Edwards ‘04
The Gay Patriot takes a shot at John Edwards. I’m torn on this one. While I don’t like anyone getting swung on simply because they’ve done well for themselves (even if it’s inherited money, someone in the family did well for themselves and their progeny), Edwards doesn’t need to be guilt tripping the ‘haves’ when he’s one of them. Walking in New Orleans doesn’t give him insight into the life there any more than me giving the bums at the 7-11 south of the Capitol gives me insight into being homeless.
Edwards is just like any other politician: rich playing poor. The fact of the matter is, without significant financial contacts you don’t get elected to office. Personally, I loathe that part of American politics. Mostly because it means I’ll never be able to run a campaign for anything larger than Podunk, USAs Board of Water and Sewer Seat #17. Secondarily, it means I’ll never have the funds to amass a collection of degrees from the northeast which gives a person all the authority they need to speak on any subject without explaining themselves.
Oh well, I guess those degrees won’t give you everything… let’s look in on Edward’s old running mate.

Tip from a former soldier: Don’t get stuck on stupid.
As a point of fact, Kerry wasn’t snubbed. He was giving an interview. To read what a blogger with character does when a mistake is made, go HERE.
