Syria and Refugee Aid
Per Kenneth Bacon in the Washington Post, Syria needs international aid to cope with its 750,000 Iraqi refugees. Mr. Bacon, the president of Refugees International, believes this is a chance for the United States “to engage with Damascus to mitigate the suffering of Iraqi refugees and the growing burden on Syria.”
See this post under the subheading of Syria. No, we shouldn’t send supplies to Syria because these supplies are just as likely to find their way into Lebanon as they are to help Iraqis.
