I drink some coffee, read some comics, and use them both as rocket juice for political commentary... what could go wrong?

I was also a school teacher before I became a home schooling mom and I felt the same way when I read these news blurbs.

You've gotta wonder if these pathetic excuses for adults have ever heard of the word "projection"? They are injecting their values into a situation among young children in a wholly inappropriate way. And no doubt, they will be among the first to lament the premature loss of childhood innocence.

You've probably also read about the recent case of a child being suspended for "fondling" a teacher's aide. I think it was a Kindergartner who rubbed her breast. STUPID! My two Kindergartners don't know anything about what's under my shirt - they just think mommy has a bumpy chest and they'll rub anything they can reach when they are trying to get my attention. I practically get an all-over massage if I'm ignoring them while I'm on the telephone... of course, it's punctuated by the whiny sound of "Moooooommmmm" every 3 seconds.

We homeschool our children as well. For a lot of reasons. While I was in the Navy it gave us the latitude to move and take vacations on our own schedule rather than the Navy's and the public schools, religious reasons and for some of what you mentioned here. Our childen have always tested well also.

I'm not a homeschool "nazi" but it has worked for us.

Good on ya.
